One-shot/ au!au (Jack/Ennis)

A/N: Just a stupid weird thing I had started some time ago, and that I finished because I was bored... Yeah, I didn’t have anything better to do. :)
Genre: Oneshot/ au!au/ and I guess it’s PWP. Nah, actually I’m not sure about the ‘porn’ part. But I’m pretty sure there is no plot.

Warnings: I messed up with the tenses and with english grammar in general. Writing this during the night didn’t really help.

Every place will be home
The place smelled like sex and cigarettes with a vague inlking of misery.
It didn’t really look that bad- fancy rugs on the floor, lamps made in opal glass, huge mirrors with golden frames- but the good furniture wasn’t good enough to wipe off the shabby look of the place, and all those ornaments gave the impression of something done to hide the miserable state of the rooms, like a good cover for a worn out book, a fine dress tossed on a disfigured body.
And even if Ennis couldn’t really put his finger on it, there was still something in that place that gave away its true nature of whorehouse.
Plick. Plick. Plick.
Something dripping somewhere behind those thin walls, Jesus, he could hear it all the way over there.
He wasn’t even sure he wanted to know what that might’ve been.
“Hello, hello, my young boy.”
A female voice came out of the darkness that was still lurking in a corner despite all the lamps.
A tall woman stared hard at him, she had to be in her fourties or something, wearing a pink dress, long ugly pink dress. God, had anyone ever told her how horrible she looked in it, probably not or she’d stop wearing it twenty pounds ago.
Ennis nodded at her, remaining silent. She smiled.
“Welcome to Eden, my dear.” The smile seemed to grow wider, slow mischevious smile on her face, the woman fluttering her eyelashes now. God. “Don’t be afraid, sweetie. I know what you’re looking for.”
Hard to believe it when Ennis didn’t know it himself.
The woman wet her lips, her pink tongue quickly darting out, a tongue as pink as her dress, Ennis noticed.
Made her look like a snake for a second. The snake of temptation, he thought, there for him in the heart of Eden.
The woman smiled again.
“What led you here, son?”
That was a fucking good question.
“I needed to leave.” Ennis frowned, shook his head slowly. “Leave everything behind.”
“Oh, really?” She came close, closer, that smile still lingering on those lips, reached out to touch lightly Ennis’s elbow. “And what exactly are you escaping from, sweetie?”
Oh, he knew the answer to that one.
“Escaping from hell.”
The lady grinned. “Then you’re in the right place.”
She seized Ennis’s right arm and pulled him with her into another room, smaller, darker, a room full of girls. Most of them looked so young, which made Ennis feel uncomfortable for some reason.
All of them dressed in a weird way or hardly dressed, either way there wasn’t any space left for doubts regarding what they did for a living, as their clothing pretty much gave them all away.
Ennis sat on a red couch, looking around him curiously.
Blond girls, dark-haired, redheads; we can give you everything you want and in any way you want it, the place seemed to scream.
Then why couldn’t he found what he was looking for.
“C’mon, sweetie, choose one girl,” the pink snake hissed into his ear, “choose whoever you want.”
Whoever he wanted... Whoever.
And suddenly Ennis turned and spotted someone, and he istantly knew who he wanted.
A young boy he was, boy probably around his own age, sitting on a leather armchair, smiling wide.
His dark hair made the paleness of his white smooth skin stand out, his big eyes were blue, so wide and blue, they almost looked unnatural on that pretty face, for who could possibly have eyes like those ones?
Long eyelashes, oh so long, almost girlish Ennis thought, and so dark and silky, framing those beautiful ireses, making the sparkling blue shin even more, like ebony framing crystal clear sea.
Soft, full pink lips, and a little mole near the corner of his mouth, a small mark that made him look maybe a little more human, but somehow even more perfect under the lights of the room.
He looked like an angel, a beautiful angel he was, an angel in that corner of Eden.
Ennis swallowed.
“Him,” he said, jerking his head towards the boy.
The woman followed Ennis’s gaze. The corner of her mouth twitched a little as she realized who he was talking about.
“Oh,” she said softly, half in disbelief and half in amusement. “You mean Jack?”
Pretty obvious he meant Jack, if that was the boy’s name, since he was the only male in the room besides Ennis.
Ennis nodded.
“Yeah,” he confirmed, surprised to hear his own voice sound so hoarse all of a sudden, like it hadn’t been put to use in years. “Jack.”
And the name seemed to vibrate for a second in the smoky air of that room as soon as it had left his lips, clear and bright, a name full of excitement and promises and expectations, everything carried in that little word. Jack.
And like the vibrations had reached him, the boy turned his head right after Ennis had spoken his name, and his blue gaze fell on Ennis.
Their eyes locked, the air grew still, the other people in that room full of people faded away and disappeared, the world became silent as Jack blinked and then smiled at Ennis- a warm smile, a bright smile, a smile beautiful, so beautiful, like he had listened to Ennis’s secret thoughts until that very moment and he had just waited for him to say his name.
And like that was the magic word that opened the gates of Heaven, he looked at Ennis with a flirty look and winked, and for some strange reason Ennis’s heart began to beat a little faster at that sight.
Jack looked at him with a sort of defiant look. I know what you want, that look said. Oh, I know it, boy.
And Ennis knew then that he was lost, lost beyond any hope of salvation, lost in that merciless beautiful gaze, ‘cause an angel of Heaven had looked straight at him and had somehow read his heart and mind, a beautiful whoever that could give Ennis anything he wanted if he wanted, and Ennis would have done whatever that angel could ask him to do, only to have a chance of tasting bliss for a little while.
The boy stood up, slowly, and started walking towards Ennis, even slower, and Ennis took in his lean graceful figure, his long legs, the confident gait.
It seemed to take him only three steps to walk across the room, and there he was, an angelic creature in the flesh standing in front of Ennis, wearing nothing but a black wife beater and a pair of tight jeans and a sly grin.
Jack looked down at him and Ennis blinked.
“You’re new here,” he observed.
The pink lady spared Ennis the effort of searching for an answer that could make sense.
“Jackie,” she said softly, almost affectionatly. Jack looked at her, and she leaned forward, placing her hand on his forearm. “I think this boy here needs some distraction tonight.”
Jack folded his arms, looked back at Ennis, and a corner of his mouth curled up.
“Is that so?” he asked, his crystal eyes glistening with something similar to amusement.
Ennis nodded, his eyes never leaving the beautiful angel’s face. He was completely under his spell.
“Well,” Jack lowered his voice a few notches. “Then why don’t you follow me, silent one.”
He reached for Ennis’s hands and took them into his own ones, gently pulling Ennis on his feet.
“Let’s go somewhere more private,” the devilish angel said, and he slowly walked backwards, staring straight into Ennis’s eyes, leading him out of the room and into a dark corridor.
There were something like five or six identical beige doors in there.
Ennis heard a faint gasping sound as they walked past one of them.
“This way,” Jack said opening one of those doors, and Ennis followed him in what looked like a spacious motel room.
Everything was red.
Red bedding, red curtains, red bedside lamps onto red nightstands.
Ennis noticed a heart-shaped mirror on one of the walls.
He stood in the middle of the room, blinked a couple of times.
Suddenly he wasn’t so sure of why he was even there in the first place.
“You okay?”
The boy’s soft voice floated across the room and Ennis heard the unmistakable click of a door being shut, then the careful steps of Jack approaching behind his back.
He could suddenly feel Jack’s breath on his neck, and it made his hair stand on end.
“’Cause you seem a little uncomfortable to me.”
“I am not,” Ennis snapped, and he turned around to look at the boy.
He knew it was a lie as soon as he met the blue of those eyes.
Ennis wasn’t just uncomfortable, he was frightened.
Frightened by that mysterious creature, that boy who didn’t even seem to belong to his own earthly world, someone who had turned him into a weak and helpless being just with the power of his bottomless blue gaze, a creature who had took possession of his mind and was confusing his thoughts, making him long for things he’d never imagined he could desire.
“Oh,” Jack said, just a hint of playfulness in his voice. “You do talk, then.”
But before he could add something he stopped, and he probably saw some of the fear on Ennis’s face ‘cause his expression softened a little, replaced by something that might have looked like tenderness.
“Hey,” Jack murmured. “It’s alright-” he sounded for a moment like he was about to call Ennis by his name, just to realize he didn’t know it, and so he broke off.
“I guess you don’t have a name,” Jack stated. He waited for Ennis to say something, but he didn’t receive any answer. A bitter smile darkened his features at that. “Yeah,” he said. “None of you ever does.”
Ennis heard something in the voice of Jack then, something that made him sound childish and helpless all of a sudden. He felt his heart tightened into his chest, and before he could think about it he was answering the blue eyed angel, because he just couldn’t stand the hurt in that voice and on that face.
“Ennis,” he said, and he watched Jack’s eyes widen and lighten up, and his smile blossom on those lips another time.
“Ennis,” the boy repeated slowly. He idly brushed his index finger on Ennis’s upper lip, and Ennis flinched a little at that, caught by surprise. “Aren’t you full of surprises.”
Jack middle finger started to touch Ennis’s skin as well.
“Ennis is a beautiful name. I’d never heard it before.”
Ennis stood still, he almost hold his breath as Jack followed the line of his mouth with his fingers.
He looked at Jack as he withdrew his hand, taking the fingertips that had touched Ennis’s skin between his soft lips, nibbling a little.
“Well, Ennis. What do you wanna do tonight?”
How could he have an answer to that question?
‘Everything and anything’ seemed like a good one.
Everything that can be done in the space of one night.
I wanna do everything to you and with you tonight, Jack.
Make me touch Heaven...
I know you can.
“I don’t know,” Ennis heard himself answer.
“You don’t know.” Jack grinned. “Well, maybe I have some ideas. Enough for both of us. Maybe you will like some of them.”
Ennis felt himself blush. He didn’t know why- he’d had sex before; alright, it’d had been with girls, but he had never been a prudish one anyway.
Why it was so different when it was Jack saying that kind of things to him?
“Oh.” He heard Jack smile. “We are shy, aren’t we?”
Before he could reply, Ennis felt both of Jack’s hands smoothing his belly and he sucked in a breath as they slowly travelled up, resting on his chest to play with the zipper of his hoodie.
“I think you’re over dressed,” Jack declared.
“Yeah?” Ennis managed to say. His voice still sounded a little rough to his own ears.
“Yeah,” Jack replied, and he bent a little to tug on Ennis’s zipper with his teeth. Then he looked up at Ennis and winked. “Maybe we can do something about it.”
Ennis nodded, feeling dazed. “Maybe we can.”
He watched Jack opening the zipper, slowly taking the hoodie off of him.
Then Jack stepped back.
“My turn now,” he said mischievously, and he removed his wife beater. His pale skin seemed to glow under the pale light of the room. He caressed his own chest and looked at Ennis. “You like what you see, Ennis?”
It was actually a sort of rhetorical question, ‘cause Ennis was looking at Jack’s bare chest like it was the most gorgeous thing he had ever seen.
Jack chuckled.
“You wanna touch me, Ennis?”
Ennis seemed to suddenly came out of his reverie, and he reached out to touch Jack.
“Nah-uh, boy.” The angel took a step back. Ennis looked at him, surprise written all over his face.
“You gotta say it first.”
Ennis felt his face burn.
“Say what?”
“Say the words.” Jack gave Ennis an encouraging nod. “Say what you want.”
Ennis sighed. “Oh, come on.”
“Naw, Ennis. You c’mon.” Jack paused. “It’s alright. Just the two of us here.”
Ennis looked at Jack’s eyes.
He didn’t know why, but he knew he could’ve done anything for what was shining into the depth of them.
“I wanna touch you, Jack.”
Jack smiled.
“Yeah, that’s better.” And he took the two steps that were keeping Ennis and him apart.
Ennis slowly reached for Jack’s skin again then, and his right hand touched Jack gingerly and tentatively, like he was a creature made of glass, and not the powerful one that had already subdued his reason and his will.
Jack’s skin was soft and smooth under his fingers, just like he had imagined it would be. Just like it looked like.
He raised his other hand, brushing it against Jack’s neck, then lower, lingering on a tender nipple.
Jack moaned softly.
“Your turn. Again,” Jack said playfully, suddenly breaking contact with Ennis. He grabbed Ennis’s sleeveless green shirt, lifting it up enough to expose his navel and his chest without taking it off.
For a moment he just stared at Ennis’s tanned skin, then, slowly, he knelt down on the floor.
“What are you doing?” Ennis asked, but it was barely a whisper and Jack didn’t seem to hear it as he stuck out his tongue and licked a wet trail around Ennis’s belly button.
Ennis whimpered.
“You like it,” Jack laughed. It wasn’t a question.
“Yeah...” Ennis tangled his hands into Jack’s hair.
“You know what it would feel even better than this... don't you?”
Ennis looked down at Jack as he wiggled his eyebrows in quiet a suggestive way.
“Yeah,” he said again.
Jack gave Ennis’s jeans a sharp tug, making the elastic band of his brief poke out of his pants.
He looked at Ennis, rubbing his nose against it like a puppy.
“Yeah... You want me to do it, Ennis? You want me to take you in my mouth?”
Ennis heart skipped a beat.
“God, yes.”
“Say it.”
“Jack...”
“C’mon.” Jack licked the skin just above the fabric. “You can ask for anything you want Ennis. I’ll do anything you want me to do.”
He kissed his belly. “Tonight you’re my Emperor.” A kiss on his waist. “My king.” A kiss on the hip. “My God.”
Jack took one of Ennis’s hand and brought it to his mouth.
He kissed a fingertip. Than another.
“Ask me anything you want, Ennis. Tonight I’m completely yours.”
Seeing that creature, that beautiful creature kneeling in front of him, hearing that heavenly angel say those words- I’m yours- was almost too much to stand for Ennis, and he thought he would come undone in that very moment.
He shut his eyes.
Hearing and looking and feeling, all at the same time, was simply too much. Too much to bear.
“I...” Ennis stopped. Shivered.
“Tell me.” Jack’s voice reached him. It was so gentle. Almost soothing.
Jack started to unbotton Ennis’s jeans.
Ennis swallowed. “I want you to take me. In your mouth.”
“Hmm.” He felt Jack smile against his skin. Another button popped open. “You can do better than that.”
“I want you... to suck me. Please,” Ennis pleaded, and was rewarded as Jack hissed out something that sounded like a pleased ‘yes’ and pushed his jeans and and his briefs down in one quick movement.
Ennis immediately felt the cool air of the room on his skin, but it was just for a brief moment, because the beauty at his feet quickly wrapped his lips around him, and then any coherent thought left Ennis’s brain and there was just wet hotness and pure bliss.
And man, oh man, that boy was an angel for sure, because he really held the keys to the gates of Heaven.
Ennis grabbed Jack’s hair as his head bobbed up and down, and Jack nibbled and licked and sucked and swallowed him whole, doing his best to drive Ennis insane, making him go wild with pleasure.
He took Ennis deep into his throat, hummed.
“God,” Ennis breathed out, thrusting his hips into Jack’s mouth.
It happened very quickly.
Ennis noticed Jack frown a little as he thrusted again, hitting the back of his throat quite fiercely, and he thought of stopping for a moment to give him some time to recover, but the boy went on anyway, completely focused on his task, without minding his own discomfort.
It was in that moment that a thought hit Ennis. Just how many times Jack had done it?
With how many men?
For how long?
The thought made him feel sick. He abruptly took a step back, gently pushing Jack away with a hand on each shoulder.
Jack raised his head to look at Ennis, confusion evident on his face.
“What’s wrong?” he asked, frowning.
Ennis shook his head. “Nothing. Sorry.”
Jack frowned harder. “Nothing? What the hell are you talking about?”
Ennis shrugged, started to button up his jeans.
He wasn’t really sure of what had gotten into him himself.
Jack stood up slowly.
“I thought... I thought you were enjoying it.”
He looked crestfallen and almost... disappointed- and Ennis’s heart nearly break at that sight.
“God, Jack. I was.” He sighed. “I really was.”
“Then what?”
Ennis sighed again. He reached the bed, let himself plop down on the red sheets.
Jack looked at him for a few seconds, then followed him, sitting beside him on the bed.
“It’s okay.” Jack spoke slowly. “We don’t... we don’t have to do nothing if you don’t want to.”
Ennis bit his lip.
“It’s not that.”
“Then what?” Jack asked again.
Ennis turned to look at him.
And Jack in that moment could swear than nobody had ever, ever looked at him with such a worshipping gaze, with so much longing and devotion, like he was something unique and terribly desirable, like he was something extraordinary and out of reach.
Like he was an Emperor. Like he was a King. Like he was a God.
Like everything he’d always tried to make his lovers feel when they when spent a night with him, but there were no traces of faked feelings in Ennis’s eyes.
Just pure truth and sincere care.
“Jack,” Ennis whispered. “I want you to kiss me.”
Jack’s mouth fell open.
“What?” he stuttered.
“I want you to kiss me,” Ennis repeated, a little slower but more firmly.
Jack looked shocked.
“Why?”
“Because...” Ennis closed his eyes, and for a moment his face was crossed by an almost pained expression. “Because I need it, Jack. So badly.”
There was a moment of silence.
Ennis could hear his own heart beating in the silent room.
“Okay, Ennis,” Jack said at last. He put his hand on Ennis’s cheek, turning his head gently. “Hmm... Come here.”
Ennis looked at Jack, and Jack smiled nervously.
“I just... just never done it before, that’s all,” Jack murmured.
“You’ve never kissed another guy before?”
Jack chuckled.
“Hell, yes, I have. Just...” he made an awkward pause. “Just not in this kind of situation, you know.”
Ennis nodded seriously. “I see.”
“Well...”
Jack wet his lips. One. Two times.
He leaned forward, and he watched Ennis’s eyes flutter closed. He had some very beautiful eyelashes.
They almost looked golden under that light. He haven’t noticed that before.
Jack cradled Ennis’s face in his hands.
Ennis placed his palm on the back of Jack’s neck.
They both held their breath as their lips touched.
It was soft. And warm.
Jack smelled cigarettes in Ennis’s breath and tasted beer on his tongue.
Ennis tasted something like sugar and sex in Jack’s mouth.
Ennis’s tongue grazed the roof of his mouth and Jack moaned.
God, he thought, how could a kiss be even better than sex?
Ennis took Jack’s lower lip between his teeth and nibbled on it gently. He licked it, leaving it wet and shining.
Then he admire his work, smiled a little to himself, and Jack smiled back, without any particular reason.
Ennis kissed him again. Just a peck on the lips.
Than one on the corner of his mouth. His jaw. His chin. Near his left eye.
On Jack’s temple, then on the tip of his nose.
Jack’s giggled.
And Ennis thought it was the most wonderful sound he had ever heard.
He sighed, pulling back a little so to look at his angel’s eyes.
“What if... What if I don’t want you to be mine for just one night?” he murmured.
Jack eyes grew wider and his heart seemed to stop.
“What do you mean?” he asked cautiously.
Ennis looked down at Jack’s knee. Than back at his eyes.
He placed his hands at each side of Jack’s face.
“Maybe I’m crazy, but what if I wanted you for all the nights to come? What if I wanted you to be mine forever and one night wasn’t enough for me?”
Jack gasped. Then shook his head slowly.
“This is so... crazy.”
“It is.” Ennis laughed. “God, yes. It’s the craziest best thing I could ever think of doing.”
Jack smiled, but it was sort of sad smile.
“Oh, Ennis,” he said slowly. “I can’t do that.”
“Why not?”
Jack snorted. “C’mon. Don’t you see what I do?”
Ennis expression became grave.
“I do.”
“Then you think I could just run away like that? I got nothing. Nobody. Only this.”
Ennis lowered his hands. He caressed Jack’s chin with his thumb.
“You would have me, dumbass.”
“Yeah... For a while.”
The hurt that flashed on Ennis’s face made Jack regret his choice of words.
“I wouldn’t leave you.” Ennis looked down at the bed. He pulled at a loose thread. “I couldn’t,” he added softly.
Jack placed his hand upon Ennis’s one.
“And why not?”
Their eyes locked.
The air grew still, the world faded away.
They drowned into each other’s gazes, and they realized they somehow knew the answer to the question, for as crazy as it may sound.
“Because,” Ennis said smiling. “I think you got me for good.”
Jack smiled in return.
“I guess that’s enough of a good reason.” He laughed a little. “So. Where’s home, Ennis?” he asked.
“I don’t have one.”
Jack raised his eyebrows in surprise.
“Now, that’s kind of a weird proposition.”
“If I got you it will be enough. If you and me are gonna be together, any place will be home for us.”
Jack thought about it. If he was gonna do this thing, he wouldn’t even be sure or where he would end up living, of what he would do to survive into the world. If he would survive at all.
But thinking about it, even if he couldn’t be sure of where this new road was gonna lead them, it sure was gonna be better than the road he was leaving behind.
And with a companion, it wouldn’t be such a lonely travel anymore.
“Okay, Ennis,” Jack said quietly. “Lead the way.”

His dark hair made the paleness of his white smooth skin stand out, his big eyes were blue, so wide and blue, they almost looked unnatural on that pretty face, for who could possibly have eyes like those ones?
Long eyelashes, oh so long, almost girlish Ennis thought, and so dark and silky, framing those beautiful ireses, making the sparkling blue shin even more, like ebony framing crystal clear sea.
Soft, full pink lips, and a little mole near the corner of his mouth, a small mark that made him look maybe a little more human, but somehow even more perfect under the lights of the room.
He looked like an angel, a beautiful angel he was, an angel in that corner of Eden.
Ennis swallowed.
“Him,” he said, jerking his head towards the boy.
The woman followed Ennis’s gaze. The corner of her mouth twitched a little as she realized who he was talking about.
“Oh,” she said softly, half in disbelief and half in amusement. “You mean Jack?”
Pretty obvious he meant Jack, if that was the boy’s name, since he was the only male in the room besides Ennis.
Ennis nodded.
“Yeah,” he confirmed, surprised to hear his own voice sound so hoarse all of a sudden, like it hadn’t been put to use in years. “Jack.”
And the name seemed to vibrate for a second in the smoky air of that room as soon as it had left his lips, clear and bright, a name full of excitement and promises and expectations, everything carried in that little word. Jack.
And like the vibrations had reached him, the boy turned his head right after Ennis had spoken his name, and his blue gaze fell on Ennis.
Their eyes locked, the air grew still, the other people in that room full of people faded away and disappeared, the world became silent as Jack blinked and then smiled at Ennis- a warm smile, a bright smile, a smile beautiful, so beautiful, like he had listened to Ennis’s secret thoughts until that very moment and he had just waited for him to say his name.
And like that was the magic word that opened the gates of Heaven, he looked at Ennis with a flirty look and winked, and for some strange reason Ennis’s heart began to beat a little faster at that sight.
Jack looked at him with a sort of defiant look. I know what you want, that look said. Oh, I know it, boy.
And Ennis knew then that he was lost, lost beyond any hope of salvation, lost in that merciless beautiful gaze, ‘cause an angel of Heaven had looked straight at him and had somehow read his heart and mind, a beautiful whoever that could give Ennis anything he wanted if he wanted, and Ennis would have done whatever that angel could ask him to do, only to have a chance of tasting bliss for a little while.
The boy stood up, slowly, and started walking towards Ennis, even slower, and Ennis took in his lean graceful figure, his long legs, the confident gait.
It seemed to take him only three steps to walk across the room, and there he was, an angelic creature in the flesh standing in front of Ennis, wearing nothing but a black wife beater and a pair of tight jeans and a sly grin.
Jack looked down at him and Ennis blinked.
“You’re new here,” he observed.
The pink lady spared Ennis the effort of searching for an answer that could make sense.
“Jackie,” she said softly, almost affectionatly. Jack looked at her, and she leaned forward, placing her hand on his forearm. “I think this boy here needs some distraction tonight.”
Jack folded his arms, looked back at Ennis, and a corner of his mouth curled up.
“Is that so?” he asked, his crystal eyes glistening with something similar to amusement.
Ennis nodded, his eyes never leaving the beautiful angel’s face. He was completely under his spell.
“Well,” Jack lowered his voice a few notches. “Then why don’t you follow me, silent one.”
He reached for Ennis’s hands and took them into his own ones, gently pulling Ennis on his feet.
“Let’s go somewhere more private,” the devilish angel said, and he slowly walked backwards, staring straight into Ennis’s eyes, leading him out of the room and into a dark corridor.
There were something like five or six identical beige doors in there.
Ennis heard a faint gasping sound as they walked past one of them.
“This way,” Jack said opening one of those doors, and Ennis followed him in what looked like a spacious motel room.
Everything was red.
Red bedding, red curtains, red bedside lamps onto red nightstands.
Ennis noticed a heart-shaped mirror on one of the walls.
He stood in the middle of the room, blinked a couple of times.
Suddenly he wasn’t so sure of why he was even there in the first place.
“You okay?”
The boy’s soft voice floated across the room and Ennis heard the unmistakable click of a door being shut, then the careful steps of Jack approaching behind his back.
He could suddenly feel Jack’s breath on his neck, and it made his hair stand on end.
“’Cause you seem a little uncomfortable to me.”
“I am not,” Ennis snapped, and he turned around to look at the boy.
He knew it was a lie as soon as he met the blue of those eyes.
Ennis wasn’t just uncomfortable, he was frightened.
Frightened by that mysterious creature, that boy who didn’t even seem to belong to his own earthly world, someone who had turned him into a weak and helpless being just with the power of his bottomless blue gaze, a creature who had took possession of his mind and was confusing his thoughts, making him long for things he’d never imagined he could desire.
“Oh,” Jack said, just a hint of playfulness in his voice. “You do talk, then.”
But before he could add something he stopped, and he probably saw some of the fear on Ennis’s face ‘cause his expression softened a little, replaced by something that might have looked like tenderness.
“Hey,” Jack murmured. “It’s alright-” he sounded for a moment like he was about to call Ennis by his name, just to realize he didn’t know it, and so he broke off.
“I guess you don’t have a name,” Jack stated. He waited for Ennis to say something, but he didn’t receive any answer. A bitter smile darkened his features at that. “Yeah,” he said. “None of you ever does.”
Ennis heard something in the voice of Jack then, something that made him sound childish and helpless all of a sudden. He felt his heart tightened into his chest, and before he could think about it he was answering the blue eyed angel, because he just couldn’t stand the hurt in that voice and on that face.
“Ennis,” he said, and he watched Jack’s eyes widen and lighten up, and his smile blossom on those lips another time.
“Ennis,” the boy repeated slowly. He idly brushed his index finger on Ennis’s upper lip, and Ennis flinched a little at that, caught by surprise. “Aren’t you full of surprises.”
Jack middle finger started to touch Ennis’s skin as well.
“Ennis is a beautiful name. I’d never heard it before.”
Ennis stood still, he almost hold his breath as Jack followed the line of his mouth with his fingers.
He looked at Jack as he withdrew his hand, taking the fingertips that had touched Ennis’s skin between his soft lips, nibbling a little.
“Well, Ennis. What do you wanna do tonight?”
How could he have an answer to that question?
‘Everything and anything’ seemed like a good one.
Everything that can be done in the space of one night.
I wanna do everything to you and with you tonight, Jack.
Make me touch Heaven...
I know you can.
“I don’t know,” Ennis heard himself answer.
“You don’t know.” Jack grinned. “Well, maybe I have some ideas. Enough for both of us. Maybe you will like some of them.”
Ennis felt himself blush. He didn’t know why- he’d had sex before; alright, it’d had been with girls, but he had never been a prudish one anyway.
Why it was so different when it was Jack saying that kind of things to him?
“Oh.” He heard Jack smile. “We are shy, aren’t we?”
Before he could reply, Ennis felt both of Jack’s hands smoothing his belly and he sucked in a breath as they slowly travelled up, resting on his chest to play with the zipper of his hoodie.
“I think you’re over dressed,” Jack declared.
“Yeah?” Ennis managed to say. His voice still sounded a little rough to his own ears.
“Yeah,” Jack replied, and he bent a little to tug on Ennis’s zipper with his teeth. Then he looked up at Ennis and winked. “Maybe we can do something about it.”
Ennis nodded, feeling dazed. “Maybe we can.”
He watched Jack opening the zipper, slowly taking the hoodie off of him.
Then Jack stepped back.
“My turn now,” he said mischievously, and he removed his wife beater. His pale skin seemed to glow under the pale light of the room. He caressed his own chest and looked at Ennis. “You like what you see, Ennis?”
It was actually a sort of rhetorical question, ‘cause Ennis was looking at Jack’s bare chest like it was the most gorgeous thing he had ever seen.
Jack chuckled.
“You wanna touch me, Ennis?”
Ennis seemed to suddenly came out of his reverie, and he reached out to touch Jack.
“Nah-uh, boy.” The angel took a step back. Ennis looked at him, surprise written all over his face.
“You gotta say it first.”
Ennis felt his face burn.
“Say what?”
“Say the words.” Jack gave Ennis an encouraging nod. “Say what you want.”
Ennis sighed. “Oh, come on.”
“Naw, Ennis. You c’mon.” Jack paused. “It’s alright. Just the two of us here.”
Ennis looked at Jack’s eyes.
He didn’t know why, but he knew he could’ve done anything for what was shining into the depth of them.
“I wanna touch you, Jack.”
Jack smiled.
“Yeah, that’s better.” And he took the two steps that were keeping Ennis and him apart.
Ennis slowly reached for Jack’s skin again then, and his right hand touched Jack gingerly and tentatively, like he was a creature made of glass, and not the powerful one that had already subdued his reason and his will.
Jack’s skin was soft and smooth under his fingers, just like he had imagined it would be. Just like it looked like.
He raised his other hand, brushing it against Jack’s neck, then lower, lingering on a tender nipple.
Jack moaned softly.
“Your turn. Again,” Jack said playfully, suddenly breaking contact with Ennis. He grabbed Ennis’s sleeveless green shirt, lifting it up enough to expose his navel and his chest without taking it off.
For a moment he just stared at Ennis’s tanned skin, then, slowly, he knelt down on the floor.
“What are you doing?” Ennis asked, but it was barely a whisper and Jack didn’t seem to hear it as he stuck out his tongue and licked a wet trail around Ennis’s belly button.
Ennis whimpered.
“You like it,” Jack laughed. It wasn’t a question.
“Yeah...” Ennis tangled his hands into Jack’s hair.
“You know what it would feel even better than this... don't you?”
Ennis looked down at Jack as he wiggled his eyebrows in quiet a suggestive way.
“Yeah,” he said again.
Jack gave Ennis’s jeans a sharp tug, making the elastic band of his brief poke out of his pants.
He looked at Ennis, rubbing his nose against it like a puppy.
“Yeah... You want me to do it, Ennis? You want me to take you in my mouth?”
Ennis heart skipped a beat.
“God, yes.”
“Say it.”
“Jack...”
“C’mon.” Jack licked the skin just above the fabric. “You can ask for anything you want Ennis. I’ll do anything you want me to do.”
He kissed his belly. “Tonight you’re my Emperor.” A kiss on his waist. “My king.” A kiss on the hip. “My God.”
Jack took one of Ennis’s hand and brought it to his mouth.
He kissed a fingertip. Than another.
“Ask me anything you want, Ennis. Tonight I’m completely yours.”
Seeing that creature, that beautiful creature kneeling in front of him, hearing that heavenly angel say those words- I’m yours- was almost too much to stand for Ennis, and he thought he would come undone in that very moment.
He shut his eyes.
Hearing and looking and feeling, all at the same time, was simply too much. Too much to bear.
“I...” Ennis stopped. Shivered.
“Tell me.” Jack’s voice reached him. It was so gentle. Almost soothing.
Jack started to unbotton Ennis’s jeans.
Ennis swallowed. “I want you to take me. In your mouth.”
“Hmm.” He felt Jack smile against his skin. Another button popped open. “You can do better than that.”
“I want you... to suck me. Please,” Ennis pleaded, and was rewarded as Jack hissed out something that sounded like a pleased ‘yes’ and pushed his jeans and and his briefs down in one quick movement.
Ennis immediately felt the cool air of the room on his skin, but it was just for a brief moment, because the beauty at his feet quickly wrapped his lips around him, and then any coherent thought left Ennis’s brain and there was just wet hotness and pure bliss.
And man, oh man, that boy was an angel for sure, because he really held the keys to the gates of Heaven.
Ennis grabbed Jack’s hair as his head bobbed up and down, and Jack nibbled and licked and sucked and swallowed him whole, doing his best to drive Ennis insane, making him go wild with pleasure.
He took Ennis deep into his throat, hummed.
“God,” Ennis breathed out, thrusting his hips into Jack’s mouth.
It happened very quickly.
Ennis noticed Jack frown a little as he thrusted again, hitting the back of his throat quite fiercely, and he thought of stopping for a moment to give him some time to recover, but the boy went on anyway, completely focused on his task, without minding his own discomfort.
It was in that moment that a thought hit Ennis. Just how many times Jack had done it?
With how many men?
For how long?
The thought made him feel sick. He abruptly took a step back, gently pushing Jack away with a hand on each shoulder.
Jack raised his head to look at Ennis, confusion evident on his face.
“What’s wrong?” he asked, frowning.
Ennis shook his head. “Nothing. Sorry.”
Jack frowned harder. “Nothing? What the hell are you talking about?”
Ennis shrugged, started to button up his jeans.
He wasn’t really sure of what had gotten into him himself.
Jack stood up slowly.
“I thought... I thought you were enjoying it.”
He looked crestfallen and almost... disappointed- and Ennis’s heart nearly break at that sight.
“God, Jack. I was.” He sighed. “I really was.”
“Then what?”
Ennis sighed again. He reached the bed, let himself plop down on the red sheets.
Jack looked at him for a few seconds, then followed him, sitting beside him on the bed.
“It’s okay.” Jack spoke slowly. “We don’t... we don’t have to do nothing if you don’t want to.”
Ennis bit his lip.
“It’s not that.”
“Then what?” Jack asked again.
Ennis turned to look at him.
And Jack in that moment could swear than nobody had ever, ever looked at him with such a worshipping gaze, with so much longing and devotion, like he was something unique and terribly desirable, like he was something extraordinary and out of reach.
Like he was an Emperor. Like he was a King. Like he was a God.
Like everything he’d always tried to make his lovers feel when they when spent a night with him, but there were no traces of faked feelings in Ennis’s eyes.
Just pure truth and sincere care.
“Jack,” Ennis whispered. “I want you to kiss me.”
Jack’s mouth fell open.
“What?” he stuttered.
“I want you to kiss me,” Ennis repeated, a little slower but more firmly.
Jack looked shocked.
“Why?”
“Because...” Ennis closed his eyes, and for a moment his face was crossed by an almost pained expression. “Because I need it, Jack. So badly.”
There was a moment of silence.
Ennis could hear his own heart beating in the silent room.
“Okay, Ennis,” Jack said at last. He put his hand on Ennis’s cheek, turning his head gently. “Hmm... Come here.”
Ennis looked at Jack, and Jack smiled nervously.
“I just... just never done it before, that’s all,” Jack murmured.
“You’ve never kissed another guy before?”
Jack chuckled.
“Hell, yes, I have. Just...” he made an awkward pause. “Just not in this kind of situation, you know.”
Ennis nodded seriously. “I see.”
“Well...”
Jack wet his lips. One. Two times.
He leaned forward, and he watched Ennis’s eyes flutter closed. He had some very beautiful eyelashes.
They almost looked golden under that light. He haven’t noticed that before.
Jack cradled Ennis’s face in his hands.
Ennis placed his palm on the back of Jack’s neck.
They both held their breath as their lips touched.
It was soft. And warm.
Jack smelled cigarettes in Ennis’s breath and tasted beer on his tongue.
Ennis tasted something like sugar and sex in Jack’s mouth.
Ennis’s tongue grazed the roof of his mouth and Jack moaned.
God, he thought, how could a kiss be even better than sex?
Ennis took Jack’s lower lip between his teeth and nibbled on it gently. He licked it, leaving it wet and shining.
Then he admire his work, smiled a little to himself, and Jack smiled back, without any particular reason.
Ennis kissed him again. Just a peck on the lips.
Than one on the corner of his mouth. His jaw. His chin. Near his left eye.
On Jack’s temple, then on the tip of his nose.
Jack’s giggled.
And Ennis thought it was the most wonderful sound he had ever heard.
He sighed, pulling back a little so to look at his angel’s eyes.
“What if... What if I don’t want you to be mine for just one night?” he murmured.
Jack eyes grew wider and his heart seemed to stop.
“What do you mean?” he asked cautiously.
Ennis looked down at Jack’s knee. Than back at his eyes.
He placed his hands at each side of Jack’s face.
“Maybe I’m crazy, but what if I wanted you for all the nights to come? What if I wanted you to be mine forever and one night wasn’t enough for me?”
Jack gasped. Then shook his head slowly.
“This is so... crazy.”
“It is.” Ennis laughed. “God, yes. It’s the craziest best thing I could ever think of doing.”
Jack smiled, but it was sort of sad smile.
“Oh, Ennis,” he said slowly. “I can’t do that.”
“Why not?”
Jack snorted. “C’mon. Don’t you see what I do?”
Ennis expression became grave.
“I do.”
“Then you think I could just run away like that? I got nothing. Nobody. Only this.”
Ennis lowered his hands. He caressed Jack’s chin with his thumb.
“You would have me, dumbass.”
“Yeah... For a while.”
The hurt that flashed on Ennis’s face made Jack regret his choice of words.
“I wouldn’t leave you.” Ennis looked down at the bed. He pulled at a loose thread. “I couldn’t,” he added softly.
Jack placed his hand upon Ennis’s one.
“And why not?”
Their eyes locked.
The air grew still, the world faded away.
They drowned into each other’s gazes, and they realized they somehow knew the answer to the question, for as crazy as it may sound.
“Because,” Ennis said smiling. “I think you got me for good.”
Jack smiled in return.
“I guess that’s enough of a good reason.” He laughed a little. “So. Where’s home, Ennis?” he asked.
“I don’t have one.”
Jack raised his eyebrows in surprise.
“Now, that’s kind of a weird proposition.”
“If I got you it will be enough. If you and me are gonna be together, any place will be home for us.”
Jack thought about it. If he was gonna do this thing, he wouldn’t even be sure or where he would end up living, of what he would do to survive into the world. If he would survive at all.
But thinking about it, even if he couldn’t be sure of where this new road was gonna lead them, it sure was gonna be better than the road he was leaving behind.
And with a companion, it wouldn’t be such a lonely travel anymore.
“Okay, Ennis,” Jack said quietly. “Lead the way.”
